A FEW OF MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY GIFTS

I had such a great vacation over the holidays spending some much-needed quality time with my family in New Mexico. The holidays, for me, are all about being around loved ones and taking the time to reconnect with those that I love the most, but I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t also receive some really awesome (and thoughtful) Christmas gifts.

My auntie gave me this amazing 2pac shirt. If you know me, you know how much I love 2pac and how I’m always repping my home, California. I adore this 2pac tee so much that I couldn’t even wait a day to start wearing it around the house. California love!

My wonderful Mom knows how much I have been raving over dramatic, oversized gold jewelry, so she got me these incredible statement earrings from Marni. I love big earrings (especially with my new short hair cut) and I cannot wait to wear these with so many looks in 2017.

Lastly, as a little treat to myself this holiday, I bought these cat-eye sunglasses from Adam Selman x Le Specs. I have been dying to buy these sunglasses for almost a year now and I finally bit the bullet. I could not be happier with my purchase. I love their sleek shape and the ultra-cool vibe they exude.

I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday and I want to wish everyone a very happy new year. Thank you for your continued support and love! Cheers to 2017!!

TREND ALERT: SILVER WINTER COATS AND JACKETS

Silver winter coats and jackets are making their mark this season. Metallic outerwear is a really easy way to make a statement while still being plenty bundled up. I really like topping a monochromatic outfit (preferably all black) with a silver puffer jacket for an ultra chic, yet seasonally appropriate look. Here are some of my favorite silver coats and jackets:

Photographed by Catherine Fleming

In the past 2 to 3 years, artists (singers, rappers, bands etc.) have greatly stepped up their merch game. I know some concert goers who look forward to seeing and buying tour merchandise as much as they eagerly anticipate seeing their favorite artists perform.

I recently heard that Travis Scott dropped his very own merch for his most recent album, Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, and I immediately had to check out his line. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed his pieces. The color palette, graphics and designs are so very in line with his brand and they really showcase Travis’s emergence as fully self-aware and well-rounded artist.

I appreciate any artist who puts that much attention to detail into anything and everything he or she releases for consumers. Even someone who does not necessarily know (or even like) Travis Scott’s music will enjoy his merchandise, as his pieces really are good enough to stand on their own.
