Guys, I’m taking it back to the basics for this post. If by some chance you do not have a basic black shirt in your closet, you must (yes, MUST) remedy this situation immediately. Any man can pull off a plain black shirt. Actually, I’m going to take it one step further – every man looks GOOD in a plain black shirt. It can be a V-neck, long-sleeve, or even button down, but as long as it’s plain and black, I assure you that you will look good. My personal preferences on men are black crew neck t-shirts and black short-sleeve polos, but that is just me.

Some of you may be asking, “Why black? Why not white or navy blue?”. My real honest answer is, “I do not know”. That is to say that I don’t know why black looks good on everyone. It could be because a black shirt can be paired with anything from jeans to suits. It could also be that black does not wash out or contrast with any skin tone. A basic black shirt can be incorporated into any style or wardrobe whether you’re preppy, athletic, punk or an awesome combination of them all. Basic black shirts just work. Period.

WISH LIST: DIEGO BINETTI

I recently purchased this Diego Binetti handbag from Free People and have absolutely fallen in love with it. I am a sucker for embellishments and this bag has it all – sequins, embroidery, patches, studs, gold balls and chains.

Not only is this purse super cool to just look at, it is also practical. This bag fits everything I need to carry on a daily basis and can be worn on the shoulder or as a clutch. Now I am on the hunt for even more Diego Binneti bags because I feel like one is not quite enough for me. To purchase this specific bag yourself, click here!

I really love distressed clothing. I know some people are put off by clothing with tears, rips, fades, and frays, but to me, these small imperfections add dimension and character. I do not think there is anything wrong with certain outfits looking a little worn and scruffy every once in a while.
